Welcome. As an artist based on a horse farm in Simpsonville, KY I love to incorporate the beauty of my surroundings into my art. I specialize in equestrian art along with portraiture, pets, landscapes and bourbon using oils with style ranging from impressionism to realism. I love seeing and expressing the color, light and expressions of my subjects. My goal is to find and portray shape with subtle color and an economy of stroke.

Although I was very involved in art growing up, in college I worried about “making it” as an artist and changed directions. I ended up in nursing and have worked 13 years in the acute hospital setting. During that time I did some training under Louisville artist David Shuster. After getting married, my husband encouraged me to refocus on my art and after the birth of our daughter I have taken a step back from nursing and am pursuing art full time.
